This weekend, Warranted turns 2!
I wanted to dedicate this week’s post to reflecting on some of my favorite posts from the last two years.
Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or just joined the party this year, I’m supremely grateful for your support. To celebrate the start of year three, here are 10 of my favorite Warranted posts, in chronological order:
1. On perfectionism, growth, change, and the art of disagreement:
2. A stop from the beginning of my journey into the works of C.S. Lewis:
5 takeaways from The Screwtape Letters
Whether you meant to or not, you’ve probably read some C.S. Lewis in your life. If nothing else, you’ve almost certainly read something inspired by his works.
3. When my faith got real, and how I structure Bible study:
Read your Bible. (No, really)
My husband, Carson, and I often joke that to be a real Baptist, you need to have gone through the baptistry at least twice.
4. Why it’s essential to invest in a local church:
"Worth far more than we guessed"
This is the third installment in a series of posts about spiritual disciplines. Read the introduction here, installment 1 about prayer here, and installment 2 about reading scripture here.
5. Being like a tree:
6. The character in Genesis I couldn’t stop thinking about:
The nameless faithful
I was reading in Genesis a few weeks ago and came across a character who intrigued me so much that I had to make a note to return to this story.
7. On the hidden theme behind one of the world’s favorite memory verses:
A future and a hope
My relationship with the Old Testament changed when I realized that the story it’s telling is the story of my spiritual family.
8. A favorite hymn and the problem of divine hiddenness:
Though the darkness hide thee
Around 200 years ago Reginald Heber, inspired by the Nicene Creed, the throne room scene of Revelation 4, and the doctrine of the Trinity, penned four simple stanzas that would become one of the most …
9. Lessons in communication from Paul:
"To the unknown god"
I’m captivated this week by a sermon from Paul that seems to slightly break the mold.
10. On the art of presenting a request to God:
Can I ask you something???
During the second semester of my sophomore year of college, I and two other girls lead our life group through a study of 1, 2, and 3 John.
It was difficult to narrow it down to just 10, but these are some of my favorite moments in Warranted history from the last two years. I want to express my sincere gratitude for every read, like, share, comment, or in-person word of encouragement you’ve given throughout the years.
Do you have topics or questions you’d like to see addressed in year 3? Respond to this email or let me know in the comments.
